Secure Your Blueink Account with MFA Protection
At Blueink, keeping your account safe is a priority. That’s why we’re introducing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to make your account more secure.
What is MFA?
MFA enhances your account security by requiring not just your password, but also an extra verification method. Even if someone knows your password, they can't log in without this additional step.
Two Easy Authentication Methods to Verify Your Identity
We’ve made MFA flexible by offering two authentication methods for added security:
- Authenticator App: Generate a six-digit code using apps like Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator. An authenticator app generates time-based one-time passwords (TOTP) to enhance security when logging into online accounts. It provides a dynamic code that changes every 30 seconds, adding an extra layer of protection alongside your regular password.
- SMS Authentication: Receive a text message with a code and enter it to verify your identity.
Important Note for SMS Users
Most countries support SMS, but if your region doesn’t, we recommend using an authenticator app. Check the list of unsupported countries here.
How to Enable MFA
Enabling MFA as an admin is easy. Here’s how you can get started:
- Go to your account settings.
- Click on Security Permissions and select “Enable MFA.”
- Choose your preferred method: SMS or an authenticator app.
Enabling MFA as a user:
- Go to your profile settings.
- Find the MFA Configuration section and turn on "Enable MFA."
- Choose your preferred method: SMS or an authenticator app.
Note: If your account requires MFA, it will be enabled automatically.
You’re now adding an extra layer of protection to your account.
Why Should You Enable MFA?
Passwords alone are not enough to keep your account safe. MFA significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access by requiring an additional verification step. Whether you choose an app or SMS, MFA is both fast and easy to use.
